MURANY, Elmer K. “Sonnie” – of Clio, age 79, died on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at his residence. Honoring his wishes, cremation will be taking place. No services are scheduled.
Sonnie was born November 12, 1941, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Steven and Genevieve (Krupp) Murany, and raised by his grandparents, the late Elmer and Lucile (Brademus) Krupp. He graduated from St. Agnes High School in 1960. Sonnie was a hard-working man all his life and owned and operated Murany’s Corvette’s in Clio for over 25 years. He was a longtime member of the Flint Motorcycle Club. Sonnie enjoyed working on cars, but racing and riding motorcycles were his true passion. He also loved sitting outside enjoying nature. Sonnie was a wonderful dad and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are: Daughters: April (Alan) Crompton, and Lace Collins (TJ Collick); Grandchildren: Kelsey (Brian) McClelland, Alex Crompton, Zach (Hannah) Crompton, Abby Crompton, and Brett Crompton; Great grandchildren: Harper, Brinley, and Julianna; Siblings: Linda Murany, Steve (Janie) Murany, Janet (Richard) Hawke, Joyce (Matt) Stanley, Doug (Vicky) Murany, Jim Murany, and Joann Allen; Many other loving family members and friends.
