TEETS, James David – Of Saginaw, age 79, died Monday, January 23, 2017 at Saginaw Geriatrics.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 11am Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
James David Teets was born in Preston County, West Virginia on January 5, 1938 the son of Reuben and Margaret (Blosser) Teets. He moved to Michigan and learned the printing trade which became his life's work. James retired from Curtis Printing in Flint.
He was a patriot who really enjoyed military trivia, movies and documentaries.
He was an avid bowler with a high average and was a member of the 300 Club!
Bowling occupied his winter months at Colonial Lanes transitioning to skeet shooting all summer at the Sportsman’s Club in Flushing.
He was baptized and worshipped at Glad Tidings Tabernacle. Everywhere he went Jim was known for his green thumb, prize roses and tomatoes. From dusk to dawn his constant companion was a garden sprayer and cultivator. Each morning at daylight to the setting of the sun, Jim spent his time outdoors. As life is a series of experiences and accomplishments but is primarily about relationships. That is what makes the biggest impact and truly influences our lives. As we say goodbye for now we speak heart to heart. We will miss you dad.
