LAPORTE, Suzanne M. “Suzi” – Of Flint, age 72, died Friday, February 25, 2022.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Father Roy Horning officiating.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Visitation 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Suzi was born on February 2, 1950 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Barbara (Eseltine) LaPorte.
She loved animals, cross stitch, knitting, playing scrabble, and watching March Madness.
Suzi was employed by Conpor Composing, Catholic Weekly Newspaper, Tribute Company, and then New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Surviving are children, Michael (Kristy) LaPorte of Swartz Creek,
Mandy (Eric) Hense of Hartland;
grandchildren, Logan, Makayla, and Colton;
sister, Cecilia (Jason) Hensley;
nephew, John and niece, Adalynn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Michael; granddaughter, Brianne, and her grandparents.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pray Family Care Home for all their loving care in her final months.
