Irma J. McSwain, age 86, formerly of Holly, died Thurs. April 27, 2017. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM Mon. May 1, 2017 at East Lawn Cemetery, 1060 Orion Rd., Orion Twp. MI 48362, with viewing from 11-11:30 at the cemetery. A luncheon will follow at Kruse & Muer Roadhouse in Lake Orion. Mrs. McSwain was born in Paris, TN on June 22, 1930 to Bert and Polly (Childress) Chapman. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophesy of Royal Oak and was devoted to her family. She loved crafting and crocheting. Surviving are her husband Leland; 2 children, Sandra McSwain of Grand Blanc and Kerry McSwain of Burton; 2 grandchildren, Melissa (Anthony) Trimmer of Davison and Dennis Million II of Flint; 3 great-grandchildren, Haley Dotson, Michael Dotson II, and Tristan Trimmer; 2 great-great-grandchildren; Bella Dotson and Addi Dotson; sisters Bertie Barnes of OH and Virginia Johnson of FL; and brother Jimmie Chapman of TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Ross and Bill Chapman. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. www.dryerfuneralhomeholly.com |
