Iaquinto, Mary “Louise” (Joseph), age 97, of Flushing, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 21, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and grace. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Rossell Funeral Home. Fr. Roy Horning will officiate. Burial will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Flushing Christian Outreach Center or the Krapohl Senior Center.

Louise was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on May 19, 1928, the daughter of George and Rose (Walsh) Joseph. She was raised in Flint and on October 12, 1946, she married Joseph Iaquinto. Together they owned and operated several local businesses including Iaquinto Grocery Store in Clio and Iaquinto Villa in Flushing.

Louise was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who dedicated her life to her family. She enjoyed spending time playing Bingo, going to the casino, and volunteering at the Krapohl Senior Center, where she was the oldest active volunteer in the county. Each year, she participated in the Senior Winter Games where she won many medals in cornhole. Louise also spent time volunteering at the Flushing Christian Outreach Center packing food and clothes for the families that came in. Traveling to her great-grandchildren’s sporting events and dance recitals was a favorite pastime of hers. A one-of-a-kind woman whose active lifestyle, strong work ethic (one of her favorite sayings was “if you rest, you rust!”), and kind spirit, Louise will be forever cherished by all who knew her.

Louise is survived by her three children, Sharon (Joe) Ledger of Flushing, Ronald (the late Pamela) Iaquinto of Mt. Morris, Donald (Tamara) Iaquinto of Belmont; grandchildren, Regina (Lewis) Kohler, Kendra Minton, Jimmy Breckon, Carmen (Dennis) Horkey, Marcy ( Adam Williams) Iaquinto, Brian Crawford, Adam Iaquinto, Cole Iaquinto, Joe Ledger, Jr., Phil (Teresa) Ledger, Jill (John) Weber; many great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Rose Joseph; husband Joseph Iaquinto; sisters, Virginia (Louis) Thomas, Patricia “Patsy” Joseph; brothers, Daniel “Sonny” Joseph, Raymond Joseph; daughter-in-law, Pamela Iaquinto; granddaughter, Kelly; and great-granddaughter, Grace.

A special thank you to the staff of Heartland Hospice in Grand Rapids and Flint, especially her caregivers, Julie, Sandy, and Carrie, and her son, Don and daughter-in-law, Tammy for all of your care and compassion.
