GARRISON, GUY DUANE – Of Burton, age 65, died Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Michael Garrison and Pastor Kenneth Gillard officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Visitation 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2024 and 1 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Guy was born in Flint, Michigan on April 30, 1958, the son of the late Thomas and Doris (Frye) Garrison.
Guy graduated from Bendle High School Class of 1976.
On June 29, 1979 Guy married Laurie Schone in Burton.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, riding his side by side and spending time with his family.
Guy was employed by Precision Industries as an Injection Molder.
Surviving are wife, Laurie;
4 children, Tammy Lamb and Jim of Burton,
Staci (Duane) Damon of Burton,
Tina (Philip) Lester of Swartz Creek and
Pastor Michael Garrison of Burton;
grandchildren, Samantha (Evan) Sawyer of Knoxville, TN,
Tristan Lester and fiancee’
Karissa Johnson of Genesee,
Tyler Belanger of Mt. Morris,
Sis Damon of Burton,
Guy Garrison,
Ty Lester and Cole Lester of Swartz Creek;
3 great-grandchildren, Jaslyn Lester, Owen Sawyer and Lilah Sawyer;
sister, Sandy (Tony) Easter of North Carolina;
2 brothers, Bo Garrison of Georgia and Richard (Shelly) Garrison of North Carolina;
mother-in-law, Hazel Southard of Burton;
several aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and many close family friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Harold Schone and Bill Southard; step-mother, Sue Garrison and sister-in-law, Sharron Garrison.
