SABIN, Nancy June (Wilson) – of Davison, MI, age 78, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Sunset Hills Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Friday, September 10, 2021 and 10-11 AM Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home. Memorial Services conducted under the auspices of The Order of The Eastern Star of Michigan Grand Blanc Chapter #507 and The Lady Shrine of North America El Said Court #28 of Flint, MI will be held 7 PM Friday, September 10, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home with the Le Dias Clown Unit of the Lady Shrine posting guard. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, in Nancy’s memory.
Nancy was born in Burton, MI on February 18, 1943, daughter of the late Walter and June (Pangburn) Wilson. She was a graduate of Mandeville High School in the Carman Ainsworth School District Class of 1961. Nancy retired from the Michigan Unemployment Office in 2002 after more than 29 years of service. She married Brian Sabin on September 27, 2001 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Nancy was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star of Michigan Grand Blanc Chapter #507, Le Dias Clown Unit of The Lady Shrine of North America El Said Court #28 of Flint, MI and the Lady Jesteretts of Saginaw. She volunteered her time as a Mother Advisor to the young men of the Davison DeMolay International #23074. Nancy collected butterflies earning her the nickname “Flutterfly”, which was also her clowning name. As “Flutterfly”, she loved clowning around and painting faces. Nancy also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Brian Sabin; 3 children, James Altene, Walter Altene and Michael Altene; 3 grandchildren, Sarah (Jackson) Hogoboom, Jessica Altene and Bryce Altene; 1 great-grandchild, Kacey Hogoboom; 8 siblings, Howard Wilson, Harry Wilson, Fred Wilson, Linda Bowman, John (Sandy) Wilson, Wava (Keith) Valliere, Mary (Ken) Ellis and Sally (Jeff) Lunde; 2 sisters-in-law, Carol Wilson and Jackie Sabin; 4 brothers-in-law, Tim (Marilyn) Sabin, Tom (Stephanie) Sabin, Donald (Sandy) Sabin and Joe (Sandy) Sabin; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and June Wilson; parents-in-law, Donald and Joyce Sabin; 4 brothers, Clifford Wilson, Robert Wilson, Norman Wilson and James Wilson; 4 sisters-in-law, Maxine Wilson, Alice Wilson, Linda Wilson and Inez Wilson; brother-in-law, Larry Bowman.
