GREGSON, Billy Joe - Of Burton, age 88, died Thursday, December 31, 2015 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Father Roy Horning officiating.
Visitation 10 a.m. Sunday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Billy was born in Flint, Michigan on April 5, 1927, the son of Louie and Jessie (Shannon) Gregson.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Billy married Anna Roman on March 13, 1954.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
He enjoyed going to his cabin in Leelanau and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Billy retired as a Design Engineer for General Motors-AC Spark Plug Division.
Surviving are wife, Anna;
six children, Mark and wife Sally,
Joe and wife Kathy,
John,
Matthew and wife Barb,
David Sr.,
Gina and husband Osmond;
20 grandchildren;
3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Michael Gregson.
