Heroux, Nancy Ann of Flushing, age 71, died Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at her home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Brian Lenz will officiate. There will be a gathering of family and friends 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church until the time of the Mass at 11 a.m. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Nancy was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on May 25, 1953, the daughter of Raymond and Delores (Poniatowski) Syrek. She married John Heroux on September 27, 1980, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Nancy enjoyed gardening, flowers and tending to her yard. She loved being outdoors whether it was boating, water skiing, snowshoeing, or camping. Her favorite times were spent traveling and sightseeing. She especially loved being in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and around Ludington on Lake Michigan. Her family meant everything to her, and she was the glue that held her large family together. She loved baking and cooking and hosting family gatherings. Nancy retired after 38 years from Artesian Water Conditioning and together with her husband, John, they owned and operated H & S Softener Service for over 40 years.
Nancy is survived by her husband, John; children, Kelly (Robert) Bachusz, Kim (Gary) Wascher, Kari Thibeault, Kathie Heroux, Keith (Megan Terbush) Heroux, Katie Gushen, Kassie (Larry) Anger; grandchildren, Brooke (Travis) Hargett, McKenna (Joe) Noseworthy, Brent Bachusz, Kennadi (Tyler) Hatch, Karlee (Ryan) Fox, Karsyn Wascher, Bobbie (Amanda) Thibeault, Colten Thibeault, Kourtney Thibeault, Ryanne Thibeault, Skyler Heroux, Ava Gushen, Liam Gushen, Graham Gushen, Tanner Broughton, Noah Anger, Little Larry Anger, Paytyn Anger, Kash Anger; great-grandchildren, Smith, Bridger, Sunny, Jones, Tripp; siblings, Richard (Sue) Syrek, Bill (Cindy) Syrek, Patricia (Jim) McAuliffe; sister-in-law, Sue Syrek; dear friend, Barb Owens; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Syrek.
