STANLEY, Sharon – of Millington and Clio, age 77, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, with her family by her side. Funeral service will be held at 1PM on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Rev. Frank Yount officiant. Burial in Thetford Township Cemetery to follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 4PM until 8PM and Tuesday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for future designation.
Sharon was born May 3, 1948, in Flint, to the late Charles and Arline (Clark) Shears. She graduated from Clio High School with the class of 1966 and worked as a service representative for much of her life in the medical industry. On September 16, 1967, she married the love of her life and best friend, Roger Stanley, and together they shared 58 years of marriage. She and Roger were faithful members of Victory Tabernacle Church in Clio for many years. Sharon enjoyed being outdoors tending to her flower gardens or keeping her hands busy with sewing and baking – she was especially known for her delicious cakes, and she liked playing Candy Crush. Above all, Sharon loved her family and cherished time spent with them. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed.
Sharon is forever remembered by: Husband: Roger Stanley; Children: Michelle (Frank) McGraw, Jennifer Stanley, Stephanie (Fred) Rappuhn, Michael (Heather) Stanley, and Brian (Leah) Stanley; Grandchildren: Stefani Stanley, Kyle (Melissa) Stanley, Kaitlyn Stanley, Caleb Stanley, Savannah Rappuhn, Connor Rappuhn, Peyton Stanley, and Liam Stanley; Great Grandchildren: Melody, Sophia, and Kinsley; Sisters: Shirley Ingram and Rachel (Gary) Norris; Several nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. Sharon was preceded in death by: Grandson, Zachrhy Stanley; Parents, Charles and Arline; Siblings: Marjorie Cook, Charles “Red” Shears, Jr., Richard “Dick” Shears, Mary Matzke, John Shears, and Floyd Shears. |
