MCMAHAN, Marlene - of Clio and Mt. Morris, age 90, went peacefully to be with her Lord on Monday, May 12, 2025, at home surrounded by her family. Funeral service will be held at 11AM Friday, May 16, 2025, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial in Thetford Township Cemetery to follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 5PM until 8PM and Friday from 10AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to Carriage Town Ministries.
Marlene was born November 2, 1934, in Vassar, to the late Wesley and Eileen (Franzel) Briggs. She graduated from Vassar High School and was a wonderful stay-at-home-mother to five beautiful children for much of her life. On May 30, 1953, she married her best friend, Harry McMahan. This year, Harry and Marlene will celebrate 72 blissful years of marriage in Heaven. Marlene was a talented pianist, volunteering at several churches over the course of her life. She enjoyed singing and baking, winning the blue ribbon for making the best apple pie in high school, and spending time with her family. Marlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend who will be truly missed.
Marlene is forever loved by: Children: Janet Wood, Terry Derus, Tim (Laura) McMahan, Kelly (Brian) Currie, and Karol (Andy) Marchig; Grandchildren, Chad (Rachel) Peters, Jamie Peters, Bret Currie, David (Robin) McMahan, Lydia (Darrel) Heine, Kimberly (Bobby) Brooks, Kurtis (Lauhnna) McMahan, Kristen (Rich) Charvat, Caleb (Sheri) Marchig; 18 Great Grandchildren; 5 Great-Great Grandchildren and 1 on the way; Siblings: Glenda Kirt and Jack (Janice) Briggs; Many nieces and nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. Marlene was preceded in death by: Husband, Harry McMahan; Parents, Wesley and Eileen; Sister, Joan Harrington; Sons-in-law: Bill Wood and Tony Derus. |
