BECKER, Delores Fay – of St Charles, Missouri (formerly a resident of Flushing, MI until 2011), age 92, died peacefully in her sleep on April 4, 2022 at her residence in Breeze Park Senior Living Center in St. Charles, MO. When she woke from her sleep she was in the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 6380 Beecher Rd in Flint, MI, Pastor Jeffrey Schmidt officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park, Mt Morris will follow after the service.
Visitation will be at the church from 10:30am- Saturday until the time of the service.
Fay was born on April 7, 1929 in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, the daughter of Ensie and Laila (Puska) Kaunisto. Fay married Alfred on July 5, 1950 in Bad Axe, Michigan. They were married for 51 years. She was a member of Christ Alone Lutheran Church in O’Fallon, Missouri and was previously a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Flint, Michigan for 50+ years before moving to Missouri in 2011. While in Missouri, Fay resided at Breeze Park Senior Living Center.
Surviving are 3 daughters – Denise (Fred) Ottie of Alexandria, VA. Gloria (Ike, deceased) Murray of St Charles, MO. Barbara (Dave) Hartel of Reseda, CA.
2 sons – Russell (Cecelia) Becker of Ellington, CT. Kenneth (Julie) Becker of New Berlin, WI.
10 grandchildren – Jason (Jami) Murray, Emma (Art) Terlep, Rebecca (Bedros) Ohanian, Christopher Ottie, Matthew Becker, Dmitry, Anna, Timothy, Katie and Jacob Becker.
8 great-grandchildren – Allison and Elliot Murray; Rayth, Tesla, Newton and Elwyn Terlep; Miriam and Isabella Ohanian.
2 sisters – Doris (Gordon) Clark of S Attleboro, MA, Verda Toler of Dearborn, MI.
Brother-in-law, Irvin (Mary) Becker of Rochester Hills, MI.
Many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Fay was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, on October 3, 2001; parents; brother, Ray; sisters Judy, Rose and Louise; son-in-law, Ike Murray.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Emanuel Lutheran Church, Flint, MI or Christ Alone Lutheran Church, O’Fallon, MO.
