ANDERSON, Kenneth E. – of Clio, age 58, died peacefully on Monday, December 12, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday, December 17, 2022, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Rob King officiating. Burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 12PM until 8PM, and on Saturday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM.
Ken was born February 10, 1964, in Flint, Michigan, to Bobby and Dessie (Daugherty) Anderson. He graduated from Ainsworth High School in 1983. Ken married Sandy Sublett on July 31, 1994, at Cove Lake State Park in Tennessee. He enjoyed spending time outdoors – hunting, fishing, and camping. Ken had quite the green thumb when it came to gardening and took great pride growing vegetables and pumpkins with his dad and granddaughters. He was a social butterfly that never met a stranger. Ken had the kindest soul and touched the lives of many over the years. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.
Surviving are: Loving wife, Sandy Anderson; Children: Holly (Bobbi) Taylor, Timothy Anderson, and Neil (Nicole) Gatica; Granddaughters: Raylyn Gatica, and Daisy Gatica; Mother, Dessie Hunt; Father, Bobby Anderson; Siblings: Norma Eskew, and Brenda (Dennis) Eskew; Step-siblings: Denise (Chuck), Carol (K.C.), and Connie (Scott); Mother in law, Nancy Reynolds; Sister in law, Vickie Wenzlick; Best friend, Russ Beebe; Many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and dear friends. Ken was preceded in death by: Stepmother, Helen “Lois” Anderson; Stepfather, J.C. Hunt; Brother-in-law, Keith Eskew; Special uncle, Ernie Thompson. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ken’s sister-in-law/nurse, Vickie, for stepping up to help, and all the love and care she provided.
