SCHUTTE, Ralph Mark - Age 73, of Friendsville, TN, died Friday, August 20, 2021. Funeral service will take place 12:30 PM, Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Debbie Burgess will officiate with burial following in Great Lakes National Cemetery with military honors present. Visitation will take place from 3 PM to 7 PM on Wednesday and 11:30 AM until the time of service Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to the VFW, Veterans of Foreign Wars or the Mutts with a Mission, 3122 High St, Portsmouth, VA 23707.
Ralph was born on January 29, 1948 in Turner, MI the son of William and Rosella (Ott) Schutte. He graduated from Au Gres-Sims High School, class of 1966. Ralph proudly served in the United States Marine Corps until his honorable discharge in 1971. He served as Sergeant during the Vietnam War and received the purple heart. Ralph and Sandra Elliott were united in marriage on May 20, 1995 in Flushing. He worked for GM-Delphi as a Foreman for 39 years before his retirement. Ralph was famous for his Schutte Burgers and he enjoyed golfing, hunting, watching TV and watching U of M Football.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Lynn Schutte; children, Carrie Ann Schutte, Scott Michael Schutte and Troy David Schutte; step-children, Trevor Clifford (Lori) Sanford, Joel Elliott (Tina) Sanford, Scott Thomas (Amy) Sanford and Cassandra Ann (Aaron) Boak; 7 grandchildren, Tanner, Elliott, Noah, Isabella, Hudson, McCoy and Sloan; sister, Clarice Cadovick; and several nieces and nephews.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rosella Schutte; and siblings, Leroy Schutte, William Schutte, Mary Jamie Neudeck and Janice Zedler.
