MAYNIE, EDNA JEAN
Of Grand Blanc, age 83, passed away peacefully Monday, December 30, 2024. A
Visitation 10 a.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Jean was born in Saginaw, Michigan on April 18, 1941, the daughter of the late Julius Fransioli and Helen Andler. She was a graduate of Northern High School and retired from General Motors AC Spark Plug Division. Jean enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and animals; but her true joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband John; her seven children Sidney (Marina) Hobson, Kelli Tabor, Helen Weathersby, Jill Hobson, Amy Hobson, Bridget (Michael) Polsinelli, and Chad Maynie; two step-children Tamra (Jerome) Maben and John (Anita) Maynie; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; brother Dale Fransioli; brothers and sisters-in-law Marie Woodsonbey, Tyrone Maynie, Sharon Cosey, and LaVoie Maynie; and several nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her brother Jack Fransioli; sons-in-law Eric Weathersby, Alvin Tabor; and brother-in-law Spencer Maynie. Special thanks to Wellbridge of Grand Blanc, The Pines of Goodrich, and personal caregiver, Kelly Sherrill for all their care and support.
