SHEARER, Michael J. - Of Flushing, age 65, died Sunday, March 30, 2014 at McLaren-Flint.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held 2-7pm Thursday, April 3, 2014 at I.O.O.F. Hall, 2134 North Irish Road, Davison, MI 48423.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
Michael was born in Arkansas on December 18, 1948, the son of the late Jack and Janie Shearer. Michael graduated from Flint Northwestern High School and received a Bachelor’s of Education from Central Michigan University. He served with the National Guard for 6 years. Michael loved traveling, animals and teaching. He retired from Clio High School as a Science Teacher after 37 years.
Surviving are daughters, Jodie Shearer and partner Angela Arcangeli of Charleston, South Carolina and Jaime and husband William Prevo of Flint;
grandchildren, Brody, Logan and Conan;
and uncle, Jimmy Sutherland of West Memphis, Arkansas.
