MONROE, Joyce Ann (Ross) – of Davison, MI, age 93, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025. A Funeral Service will be held 12 PM Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor John Meyer officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Sunset Hills Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Friday, March 7, 2025 and 11 AM-12 PM Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, in Joyce’s memory.
Joyce was born in Detroit, MI on November 8, 1931, daughter of the late Evert Bray John Ross, Ethel Margaret (Trerice) and Earl Bernard Hacker. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where her faith and warmth touched the lives of all who knew her. Joyce's heart was full of love for her family, and she treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her presence brought joy and comfort to those around her. Joyce had a deep appreciation for nature, particularly the beauty of birds. She found peace in watching them, often spending hours feeding and observing them in her garden. Her love for the simple pleasures in life was a reflection of her kind and nurturing spirit. She will be remembered for her generous heart, unwavering faith, and the special bond she shared with her family and friends. Joyce leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
Joyce is survived by 3 children, Dan Monroe, Cathy (Art) Hill and Mark (Melissa) Monroe; 7 grandchildren, Cyndi (Joel) Priebe, Rob Hill, Eric (Heather) Monroe, Ashley Monroe, Bryan (Megan) Monroe, Lindsey (Bryan Fick) Monroe and Adam (Elaina) Monroe; 8 great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Evert Bray John Ross, Ethel Margaret (Trerice) and Earl Bernard Hacker; husband, Royal Monroe; daughter-in-law, Debra Monroe.
