MCCOLLUM, Homer Stephen -- Age 59, of Swartz Creek died December 17, 2014. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Monday, December 22, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 2PM - 7 PM Sunday . Those desiring may make contributions to the Free Indeed program at Faith Tabernacle Church, Flint.
Homer was born September 18, 1955 in St. Louis, MO. the son of William Ray and Juanita Marzine (Carnes) McCollum. He married Lee Ann Ritzert in Flint on December 31, 2006. Homer was a Veteran of the U.S. Airforce. He was a Stationary Engineer at GM retiring in 2006 with 30 years of Service. He liked games and was a Cribbage and Card player. He enjoyed his time spent in northern Michigan. Homer loved the Lord. He loved college football and the Crimson Tide.
Surviving are: wife, Lee Ann; daughter, Stacey (David) Klein; grandson, Christian Klein; 3 sisters, Beverly (Tom) Ostander, Melinda (Mike) Herron, Melody (Gary) Wellisley; many nieces and nephews; best friend, uncle Homer Carnes; In laws, Donna and Joseph Mihailoff, brother in laws, Michael (Cheryl) Ritzert and Steven Ritzert.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Darrell McCollum; best Friend, Terry Hendricks.
