She was an active member of Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church in Saginaw and Flushing United Methodist Church. She was an avid, lifelong reader who belonged to the Philomathean Book Club of Flushing.
In 2001, Donnie married Mel Weeden and they enjoyed 20 happy years of love, joy, fun, and travel. She will be remembered for her love of family, her sense of humor, her insatiable curiosity, and her zest for life. Her favorite saying was, “Life is good!”
