STOVER, William A. – Of Clarkston, formerly of Flint age 81, died Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at St. Joseph-Pontiac.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Mike Mayo-Moyel officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service and burial of cremains will take place at Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Old Newsboys.
Visitation 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday, February 25, 2022 at the funeral home.
William was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 2, 1940, the son of the late James A. and Myrtle L. (Frye) Stover.
On March 12, 1995 he married Carol A. Reed in Flint.
He was a golfer and bowler; enjoyed celebrating with friends and family at restaurants.
Mr. Stover retired as an Operative Engineer for Fisher & Wright Plumbing and Heating. He was a member of the Operators Union and the Teamsters.
His wife, children and grandchildren were his priorities.
Surviving are wife, Carol;
children, Billy (Kimi) Stover,
Robin Stover,
Jill (David) Caudill and
Paul (Janelle) Csapo;
son-in-law, Rob Davis;
grandchildren, Autumn (Steve), Jordan, Kyle, Karley, Danny, Kaleigh (Albert), Kayleigh (Kyle), Trevor and William;
great-grandchildren, Gracelynn, Emerson, Dylan and Hudson;
siblings, Lee (Duane) Barnhart, Linda Morse and Richard (Linda) Stover;
sister-in-law, Margaret Stover;
fur baby, Brandi Ann;
many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Annette Davis; great-granddaughter, Nicole Torrisi; brother, James and fur baby, Queenie.
