WILHELM, Allan- of Montrose, age 77, died Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at his residence. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to a local VFW post.
Allan was born June 7, 1945, in Brant, Michigan, to the late Dale and Betty (Hilts) Wilhelm. He attended Dye High School and served in the United States Army. Prior to his retirement, Allan worked for General Motors on the assembly line for 27 years. On April 17, 1976, Allan married the love of his life and best friend, Peggy Rush. Together they shared 46 blissful years of marriage and raised three beautiful children. Allan enjoyed collecting guns and loved spending time with his family whenever possible, especially his grandchildren. He never failed to put a smile on someone's face with his friendly sense of humor and always offered a comforting presence at family gatherings. Above all, Allan was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Allan is forever loved by: Wife, Peggy Wilhelm; Children: Diane (Jesse) Delling and Cassie Wilhelm; Grandchildren: Julia, Jesse, Chelsea, and Kenzie; Great granddaughter, Aryis; Siblings: Garry Wilhelm, Darwin Wilhelm, Joan Wilhelm, and Christopher Wilhelm; Furry companions, Chum Diddy and Reba; Several nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends.
