JACKO, Gwendolyn D. – Of Burton, age 65, died Friday, April 21, 2023
at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2023
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or COPD Foundation, 3300 Ponce De Leon Blvd. Miami, FL 33134.
Visitation 1-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2023.
Denise was born in Flint, MI on April 20,1958, the daughter of Glen and Jackie(Stewart) Walker.
She loved dancing naked under the moon. Laughing and being silly with family and friends. She enjoyed hearing her grandchildren making music on their instruments. She was an avid jokester and a great listener. A wild free spirit who would give the shirt off her back. She welcomed and loved one and all. She battled cancer and COPD for a decade with laughter, love, and her sense of humor. Most of all she loved spending time with her daughter and grandkids. Please wear leopard print or tie-dye in honor of her.
Surviving are her daughter Amy Jacko. Grandchildren Anthony and Avalynn Jacko. Bonus children Jason Justus, Tialisa Thrower, Chris Olsick, and Randi Dickerson. Father Glen Walker, Brother Randy Walker, Sister Tracy(Mike)Parker, Nephew Jesse(Tara) Adams, Nieces Courtney(Matt) Cox, Amber(Casey) Stephens, Jordan Powers, Hayley, Jill, and Laci Parker. Great Nieces and Nephews Walker and Tenley Cox, Kingston and Lincoln Stephens, Emmy and Aspen Adams.
She was preceded in death by her mother Jackie Walker, Sister Dianne Adams, favorite cousins Scott and Debbie Sue and many other loved ones.
