BARTLE, EVELYN “HELEN” – age 70, passed peacefully Monday, February 5, 2024 at home surrounded by family.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 12, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Tom Shidler officiating.
Visitation 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Evelyn was born in Flint, Michigan on June 1, 1953, the daughter of Richard and Evelyn (Rex) Larkin and resided in Michigan her entire life, until retirement, where she resided in Weslaco, Texas.
She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church since November 4, 1972 and was a member of Crossroads Community Church in Weslaco.
Helen enjoyed knitting, crocheting, going to bingo and playing games with family and friends.
Surviving are husband, Don “Donnie” Bartle;
daughters, Heidi (James) Carey and
Holly (Jason) Adams;
grandchildren, Ashlee Adams, Blaine (Alexis) Adams, Clarice Carey and Camellia Carey;
great-granddaughter, Dakota;
brother, Daniel (Shirley) Larkin; nieces and nephews;
very close friends, Mary Johns, Harry Ramond, Paul and Jenny Gridley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Evelyn Larkin.
