Evelyn Bailey age 90 of Byron passed away Monday, April 17, 2023 at McLaren Hospital of Flint. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM on Monday, April 24, 2023 at the Byron Baptist Church. Pastor Jimmy Nelson will be officiating. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Burial will follow to Byron Cemetery.

Mary "Evelyn" Lloyd was born October 30, 1932 in Manilla, AR a daughter of Eddie and Thelma (Dozier) Lloyd. On March 7, 1951 she married Joe R. Bailey. Evelyn was a member of the Byron Baptist Church Quilters. They made quilts for Carriage Town Mission, Flint Crisis Pregnancy Center and the St. Louis Children's Home. She was also a past President of Carriage Town Auxiliary, a 4H leader teaching quilting and a member of the Byron Baptist Church for 68 years. Evelyn enjoyed quilting and gardening.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Bailey, Suzanne Bailey and Lisa J. Miller; grandchildren, Kevin (Sara), Korry (Jeremiah), Kristin (James), Alan (Beth) and Jordan (Megan); sister, Carolyn Moffatt; nephew, Jim Burroughs and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe R. Bailey; son-in-law, Terry Miller; siblings, Shirley Grisham and Eddie Martin Lloyd.
