GILBERT, Christina – of Burton, age 97, died on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Friday, April 16, 2021 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Sue Colavincenzo officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. Due to Covid-19 and government restrictions, only 25 people are allowed in our chapel at one time and masks are required.
Christina was born September 11, 1923 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Theodore and Hulda (Hitz) Grove. She married James Gilbert in March of 1945. He preceded her in death in 1987. Christina enjoyed taking care of her lawn, spending time with family, traveling, and trips to the casino.
Surviving are: Daughter, Florine (Ron) Divley; Son, James (Marlene) Gilbert; Grandchildren: Shelly Mason, Alecia (Steve) Clapp, Dionanda Tillman, Teresa Tillman, and Sarah (Dan) Broaz; Great grandchildren: Kayla Fisher, Hunter Hooper, Samantha Murphy, Nathan Tillman, Lucy Broaz and Elliott Broaz; Siblings: Arlene, Lucille (James), James, Lawrence, Jerry (Janie), Judy, Joyce, and Ervin. Christina was also preceded in death by daughter, Sandra Zemore; Siblings: Harold, Floyd, Barbara, Clarence, Eugene, Marvin, Duane, Rita, Ailine, and Morse.
