June G. Wood-Fox, 82, of Gladwin, Michigan, passed away at her home on Saturday, January 4, 2014. She was born in Flint, Michigan, on June 1, 1931, the daughter of Earl & Marjorie (Ketron) Smith. On October 14, 1949, she married Howard Wood in Birch Run, Michigan. He predeceased her in 1995. She later married James Fox on March 24, 1999, in Gladwin. He predeceased her in 2011. She has lived in Gladwin County for the past 35 years, previously residing in Burton, Michigan. She was employed by Sunshine Foods in Flint, Auckerman Real Estate in Grand Blanc, as well as Elsie's, as a hairdresser. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post #3775, Hockaday Community Church, and past member of F.O.E. Gladwin Aerie 3292 Auxiliary. She is survived by her children: Larry (Sandra) Wood of Burton; Howard Wood of Gladwin; Claudia (Richard) Fejedelem of Evart; Mark Wood & friend Stephanie of Fowlerville; Randall (Cindy) Wood of Flint; Vicky (Brian) Behnke of Montrose; Jeffery Wood & friend Jolene of Flint. She was blessed with 15 grandchilren; 16 great grandchildren and several step-grandchildren. Also surviving her are 2 step-daughters: Sandra Fox of Gladwin; Susan Kurtz of West Branch; 1 sister: Glynita Brown of Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 husbands; son: Gary Wood in 2011; grandson: Brian Wood; brother: Claude Smith; sister: Earlene Smith. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 1-9:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. She will be laid to rest at Crestwood Cemetery, Grand Blanc, Michigan, with a Chapel Service at 12:00 noon.
