ROSENBERGER, Chester Charles – of Flint, MI, formerly of Davison, MI, age 96, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Davison Free Methodist Church, 502 Church Street, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Shane Bengry officiating. Interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive visitors at Davison Free Methodist Church from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
Chester was born in Grand Rapids, MI on April 19, 1927, son of the late Chester Allen and Cora (Gray) Rosenberger. He married Mary Bruinsma on January 1, 1948 and she preceded him in death on October 17, 2017. Chester proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from Citizen’s Insurance Company. Chester was a member of Davison Free Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood-working and golfing. His greatest joy came from spending time with his beloved family.
Chester is survived by 4 children, Ruth Ann (Brian) Roberson, Chester C. “Chuck” (Vicki) Rosenberger Jr., George A. (Ruth) Rosenberger and Robert Rosenberger; 9 grandchildren, Melanie (Jeff), Tina (Chris), Jon (Sarah), Mike (Betsy), Jason (Jessie), Daniel (Jayme), Katie, Marci (Brian) and Amanda (Matt); several great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and good friends. In addition to his beloved wife and his parents, Chester was preceded in death by a son, Michael Rosenberger; daughter-in-law, Sherry Rosenberger; brothers, George Rosenberger, Bill Rosenberger and Leighton Rosenberger.
