FOX (SEMEYN), ABIGAIL C. – Of Goodrich, age 48, died peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2024, after complications from diabetes.
Memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating. Visitation 2 p.m. – 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to American Diabetes Association, PO BOX 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
Abby was born on October 22, 1975 in Southfield, Michigan, the daughter of Mark and Caroline (Wardwell) Semeyn.
Abigail married Steven Fox on July 11, 2009 in Northville, Michigan.
Abigail graduated from Northville High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Albion College.
Abby graduated from Albion College in 1998, with a Degree in Elementary Education. She began her teaching career in the Grand Blanc Public School system that year. She taught many years until her health declined and made retirement necessary.
The impact she had on her students as a teacher has led to a long lasting relationship with them. She enjoyed her time at her cottage on Higgins Lake and enjoyed boating.
Her daughter, Olivia was her pride and joy.
She is survived by her husband, Steve;
daughter Olivia Fox of Goodrich, MI;
mother, Caroline Semeyn of Saline, MI;
brothers, Mark (Lyn) W. Semeyn, Jr. of Milan, MI and Matthew (Jennifer) W. Semeyn of Missouri City, TX;
sister, Erica Jacobson of Eugene, OR; father-in-law, David Fox of Grand Blanc; several nieces and nephews.
