MARCINIAK, WILLIAM “BILL” – Of Davison, age 78, passed away on July 17, 2023.
Bill was born on September 11, 1944 in Carteret, New Jersey to Carl and Mary Marciniak (Molnar). He attended Holy Family School in Carteret. In an effort to get out of class during his senior year, Bill signed up to attend an informational meeting for General Motors Institute (GMI-now known as Kettering), resulting in Bill moving to Flint, Michigan and attending GMI, during which time he met and married his devoted wife of fifty-eight years, Carol Marciniak (Lackie).
He was a member of the Epsilon Iota chapter of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. Bill enjoyed a long career of over forty years at Machine Engineering in Clarkston.
He was a lifelong sports fanatic with a knack for sports trivia. In his free time, Bill was an avid golfer who could remember pretty much every hole he ever played, and he was a voracious reader.
Bill was a devoted family man and a model of unconditional love and patience. Words can’t describe how close we hold him in our hearts and how much he is loved and will be missed.
Bill is survived by his wife, Carol;
children, Steve (Jennifer) Marciniak, Colette (Brian) Majestic, Lisa (Rob) Long;
grandchildren, Richard, Cora, Monica, Nicholas, Samantha and Ian;
great-grandchildren, Richie, Alexandria, Lucia, and Nicole;
brother, Robert Marciniak;
dearest friends, Renate Bueche and Don Henderson.
Cremation has taken place; no public service will be held.
