Passed away peacefully with family by her side Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Covenant Harrison; age 88 years. Audrey Ann Fahrenbruch was born on February 11, 1934 in Saginaw, MI to the late John and Leona Fahrenbruch. She was married to Richard Roach in 1956 and she later married Eugene Fischer in 1975, Eugene predeceased her on June 29, 2013. Audrey received her bachelor's degree in education from CMU and graduated summa cum laude. She went on to teach elementary school in Saginaw Township. Together with Eugene she opened Kite Kraft in Frankenmuth, and later the Frankenmuth Toy Company. Audrey was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, Chamber of Commerce, and the Frankenmuth Lion’s Club. She also was treasurer for Groveland Park III Condo Association for several years. She enjoyed puzzles, cherished her many friends, and loved her family. She held her grandson Matthew especially close to her heart.
Surviving are: one son Steven (Yong Cha) Roach of Paw Paw, MI; three step-daughters Mary Fischer of Denver, CO, Elaine Edmonds of Grand Rapids, MI, and Gail (Don) Ring of Kentucky; one step-son Dallas (Lynn) Fischer of Plainwell, MI; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one brother John (Barbara) Fahrenbruch.
Besides her husband Eugene, Audrey was preceded in death by her son Michael Roach and her sister Lois Mae Mathers.
Funeral service will take place on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola St. Rev. Joel Kaiser will officiate with burial to follow in St. Lorenz Lutheran Cemetery. Audrey’s family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and at church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
