ISBELL, Hugh N. – of Davison, MI, age 86, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 3 PM Monday, July 8, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Karen Williams officiating. The family will receive visitors 1-3 PM Monday, July 8, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Reverence Home Health and Hospice, in Hugh’s memory.
Hugh was born in Flint, MI on February 14, 1933, son of the late Wallace F. Isbell and Winifred A. (Smith) Boyer. He was a graduate of Beecher High School Class of 1951. Hugh married Juanita Wyles in 1953 and she preceded him in death in 2001. He retired from AC Spark Plug as a Tool Maker after 45 years of service. Hugh was a member of the Hale Eagles Aerie #4217 F.O.E. He dearly loved spending time up north at the cottage, enjoying boating, fishing, hunting, bonfires and spending time with his family and friends. Hugh was always a huge supporter of his children and grandchildren’s numerous extracurricular activities. He was an animal advocate, going out of his way to rescue stray animals and wildlife.
Hugh is survived by 4 children, Norman (Angie) Isbell, Bryan (Tina) Isbell, Diane (Frank) Sposeto and Ward (Lisa) Isbell; 12 grandchildren, Michael, Terinda, Janie, Matthew, Crystal, Christina, Danielle, Jessica, Lindsey, Nicholas, Kyle and Lauren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Dunning; sister-in-law, Dorothy Isbell; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace F. Isbell and Winifred A. (Smith) Boyer; wife, Juanita (Wyles) Isbell; son, Bradford Isbell; daughter, Kim Newton; brothers, Wallace Isbell and Douglas Isbell.
The family would like to extend a very sincere thank you to the nurses and staff of the Genesee Cancer Treatment Center and Reverence Home Health and Hospice for their compassionate and professional care of Hugh.
