STUTESMAN, James L. – Of Lapeer, age 73, died Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
Visitation 1-5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
James was born on June 11, 1947, the son of Virgil and Shirley (Popps) Stutesman.
He was a Combat Vet and served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam.
He was an animal lover, enjoyed photography and was passionate about martial arts.
Surviving are son, James Stutesman;
brother, Barry and Dean Stutesman;
many nieces and nephews;
beloved fur baby, Henry.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary “Buzz” Stutesman.
