Olive Rose Rodgerson
Age 79 of Gaines passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022 with her family by her side.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Owosso with Pastor John Nyof officiating. Burial will follow at Colwell Cemetery in Tyrone Township. Visitation will take place at Hillcrest that day from 12:00pm until the service.
Olive was born on July 31, 1943 to Charles and Blanche (Tanner) Greer in Corning, Arkansas. She married Charles A. Rodgerson on January 1, 1974; he predeceased her in 2015. Olive worked for General Motors for many years before retiring.
Olive was an active member of Faith Baptist Church in Durand. Throughout her life, she loved searching for good deals at flea markets and garage sales, traveling to Arkansas to visit her family there, and most of all, spending time with her 4 granddaughters and 3 great-grandsons. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.
Olive is survived by her son, Craig A. Rodgerson; her granddaughters, Kaila (Troy) Newsome, Kelly Rodgerson, Kayci Rodgerson, and Karolyne Rodgerson; her great-grandsons, Braydon, Dominik, and Mason; her step-children, Chuck Rodgerson, Theresa Rodgerson, and Craig M. Rodgerson; her sisters, Betty Thompson and Judy Long; and several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband, Charles; her parents; and her siblings, LaWanOlive Rose Rodgerson
