PITTMAN, JUDITH E. – Formerly of Lapeer, Michigan, Edgemont, AR and Rockford, Michigan, age 81, died Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at The Oaks at Belmont.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 27, 2024
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Scott Beck officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
A private burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery will follow.
Judith was born in Lansing, Michigan on April 11, 1942, the daughter of the late J.T. and Pauline (Munhundro) Provine.
On April 18, 1964, she married Bobby Pittman at Hopewell General Baptist Church in Flint. Judith was an elementary school teacher in Lapeer, MI for 30 years focusing on reading skills for Title I students. Judith also had a passion for music and sang for many years with the Sweet Adeline’s Thumb Area Chorus.
Surviving are sister, Donna Carpenter;
sons, Bradley (Christina) Pittman and Jason Pittman;
grandchildren, Jack and Emily Pittman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Franklin Pittman, in 2017.
