DAVIS, Marguerite Mary (Marge) – of Burton, MI, age 92, passed away on November 16, 2022. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 Noon Monday, November 21, 2022 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, G-5199 Richfield Road, Flint; Rev. Fr. Dieudonne Ntakarutimana celebrant. Burial will be 1 PM Tuesday in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Sunday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be visitation one hour prior to the mass on Monday. A Rosary will be prayed 7 PM Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eastern Food Bank, American Cancer Society or American Legion Post #267.
Marge was born in North Branch, MI on August 23, 1930, daughter of the late Lawrence and DeLima (Crouteau) Westen. She was one of nine children. Marge married Robert L. Davis on June 18, 1948 and he preceded her in death on May 17, 1976. Bob and Marge were a very loving, hardworking couple and raised six children. Marge was devastated with the loss of her true love in 1976 after 28 years of marriage. Marge was a devoted catholic and taught catechism at her home parish, Holy Rosary, Flint, MI. Marge had an amazing voice, she sang in church, with the Sweet Adelines and many family reunions. She had many interests throughout her life including work and pleasure. In the early 90’s Marge met a special friend, Mac Conlin. Marge and Mac enjoyed many winters together in Florida.
Marguerite is survived by six children, Linda (Frank) Morway, Marsha (Paul) Kelley, Gary Davis, Robert “Kevin” Davis, Alan (Gina Danko) Davis, Lisa (Paul) Aaron; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; brothers, William (Pauline) Westen and Bob (Nancy) Westen; partner, Mac Conlin; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by sisters, Joy (Dick) Link, Jo-Ann (Pat) Izzo, Marilyn Slee and Audrey (Ray) Steinbrink; brothers, Lawrence Westen II and Donald (Libby) Westen. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Baddam and staff, Ascension Genesys Hospital 2nd floor Nurses and special angel Jessica, long time caregiver Sage, and staff of Amani Grace.
