RUNYAN, JoAnn “Bingo Grandma” - Of Mt. Morris, age 84, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 24, 2020 at Higher Praise Church, 4060 Grand Blanc Road, Swartz Creek, Brother Don Dennis officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Contributions may be made to Higher Praise Church.
Visitation 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
JoAnn was born in Pontiac, Michigan on November 28, 1935, the daughter of the late Lee and Alice (Wheeler) King.
On May 16, 1953, she married Wallace Runyan at Union Hall in Pontiac, Michigan and he preceded her in death on October 24, 2019.
She was employed as a school bus aide, and was lovingly known as the Cake Lady.
JoAnn was a member of Trinity Assembly of God, where she was the Children’s Church Leader and Higher Praise Church in Grand Blanc. JoAnn was always helping people in the community.
Surviving are children, Sandra Lee (David) Wheeler and Matthew Runyan;
grandchildren, Nichole (Bruce) Geary, Rachelle and Allyce (Colin) Churchill and lil Matthew Sneddon;
great-grandchildren, Angelina, Whitney, Justin, Shi-Ann, Brianna, Olivia, Caden, Jayden and one to be;
great-great-grandchildren, Aubrie, Adriannah, A'miyah and Analayuh, Ezlynn and Isaiah;
brothers, Donald King and Harold King and special companion, Abby.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wallace; baby daughter, Wallyne Jo; daughter, Dawn Link; brothers, Lee King Jr., and Rudolph Leon; sisters, Juanita Green and Ruby Metheny.
