Lyn was born October 28, 1956 in Flint, Michigan to the late Richard and Sandra (Reichelt) Reynolds. She grew up in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Northwestern High School, class of 1974. On June 4, 1976 she married James Martinez in Flint, Michigan at a young age of 19 and had been happily married weathering many of life's challenges together until the very end. Prior to her retirement in 2012, Lyn worked for the Beecher School District as a Paraprofessional with 20 years of service. Lyn was a Girl Scout Leader, Boy Scout Leader, Cheerleader Coach, and President of the PTO when her kids were in school. She enjoyed volunteering in the schools and touched many lives. Lyn liked playing bingo with her friend, Lee, going to the casino, and organizing the Martinez Fish Fries and the Reynold’s Reunions. However, her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren which she adored so much. Every time you would see Lyn, she always had a lot to say and many times would be seen laughing and joking, but compassionately helped anyone in need and touched our hearts in many ways. She will be greatly missed.
