PURZYCKI, Joseph Raymond - Age 86, of Fenton, died Sunday, February 23, 2014. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at All Saints Catholic Church, G 4063 W. Pierson Road, Flint. Fr. Anthony Majchrowski celebrant. Burial immediately following at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd, Fenton Tuesday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM and at church Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Mr. Purzycki was born March 4, 1927 in Chicago, IL, the son of Joseph J. and Rose E. (Borczek) Purzycki. He was a 1945 graduate of All Saints Catholic High School. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy. He had resided in Fenton for the past 47 years. Mr. Purzycki was a master plumber and owned and operated OK Plumbing and Heating for many years. He was a life member of Fenton V.F.W. Curtis Wolverton Post #3243, American Legion of Polish Veterans, and Dom Polski. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, traveling, and his trip to the casino's with his daughter's. He was an outdoorsman his entire life and was part owner of Triple Ski Hunt Club in Argentine Township.
Surviving are: 2 sons, Michael Purzycki and Martha Jones of Fenton and Keith Purzycki and wife Joanne of Fenton; 5 grandchildren, Karen Mroz and husband Scott of Fenton, Erin Purzycki of Auburn Hills, Chad Purzycki of Fenton, Jack Doehring of Los Angeles, CA, and Katie Doehring of Washington D.C. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 daughters, Roseanna Purzycki and Peggy Searight; brother, Donald Purzycki.
