LIKE, Vernon (Pete) - Of Burton, age 68, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 21, 2014.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Monday, August 25, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 4-8pm Saturday and 2-7pm Sunday and 12pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Vernon was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on April 6, 1946, son of the late Clarence and Amie Like. He was an Air Force Veteran and worked for Buick Motor Division for 35 years as a pipefitter. After retirement, he enjoyed, gardening, landscaping, working on cars, camping and being a handyman. He also enjoyed using his phone and being on the computer.
Surviving are wife of 51 years, Sandra;
children, James Like, Richard Like, and Cheryl (Gary) Tenbusch;
grandchildren, Amanda Bunn, Brooke Like and Kiersten Tenbusch;
great-grandchildren, Grace and Erek Bunn;
brothers, Graydon and Babe Like and Harry and Tina Like;
special friend/cousin, Troy and Debbie Walton;
and special dog, Annie.
