ODGLEN, PEGGY – Formerly of Swartz Creek, age 89, died Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Lockwood of Fenton.
Private funeral service will be held at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Reverend Jeremy Peters officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Due to Covid-19 and government regulations, only 25 people will be allowed in the chapel at one time. Mask, group capacity and distancing guidelines must be practiced.
Visitation 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2021 until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
Peggy was born in Sikeston, Missouri on February 28, 1931, the daughter of the late Allan and Ola Ramsey.
On December 4, 1947, she married Gerald Odglen in Newport, Arkansas.
She was very artistic, skilled at needlework and sewing. Peggy enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking and traveling.
Peggy was an excellent homemaker and she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are children, Jerry (Denise) Odglen and Sandy (Fred) Wright;
grandchildren, Chad (Kristen) Steelman, Jennifer Odglen, Wade (Angie) Steelman, Dustin Odglen and Kyle (Holly) Odglen;
11 great-grandchildren;
sister, Allene Masters;
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, on March 10, 2018; siblings, Sherman, John, Naomi, Everett and Dick.
