Dennis J. Willett - of Flint, Michigan, age 82, passed to his eternal home on Sunday, September 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Dennis was born in his family’s farmhouse in Bentley, Michigan on January 14, 1944. He was the son of Horace and Bernice (Grove) Willett. He moved to Flint when he was 18 years old where he began his long career with General Motors. Most importantly, this is where he met his lifelong love, Linda. Dennis and Linda grew up together, traveled together, laughed together and
raised 4 children together. Their love story started with a multi-generation close-knit family unit that will always celebrate his memory. Dennis enjoyed cars, hunting, fishing, road trips and family time. He loved to laugh and was friendly with everyone he met.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 62 years, Linda; his 4 children: David (Brenda) Willett, Dennice (Jim) Atkinson, Richard (Dawn) Willett and Janeen
(Mark) Bryant; his sister Faye; 4 grandchildren: Rebecca (Chris) Gould-Smith,
Amanda (Chris) Baker, Logan (Becca) Bryant and Bailey Bryant; 2 step- grandchildren: Burt (Danielle) Grant and Michelle Dugger and 10 great-
grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his siblings Wilma, Eugene, Yvonne, Jack and Delores and great-grandson Clayton.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 pm Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint and then on Thursday morning at Montrose Global Methodist Church, 158 E. State Street, Montrose, MI. from
10:00 am until the time of service.
Funeral services will be held at Montrose Global Methodist Church at 11:00 am Thursday, September 17, 2026. A burial will take place at Sunset Hills
Cemetery for immediate family.
Following the internment, a luncheon will be held at Montrose Global Church where all are welcome to share memories of Denny and celebrate his life with his family.
