RICHARD, Sandra L. - Of Flint, age 70, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Kith Haven Nursing Home.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road,
Pastor Kirk Bodem officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Visitation 1-8pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Sandra was born in Trigg County, Kentucky on September 2, 1943, and was a resident of Flint since 1964. On February 2, 1962, she married Cecil Richard in Louisville, Kentucky. She was employed with Kmart for eight years. Sandra enjoyed ballroom dancing competitively with her husband and she attended First General Baptist Church.
Surviving are husband, Cecil;
children, Joseph Alan (Sheila), Cecil Anthony, Earl Jonathan (Shawn) and Stacey Marie;
grandchildren, Jason (Katlin), Stephanie, Samantha, Brandon, Emily, Gretchen and Victoria;
sisters, Aloma Levine and Joann (Pat) Tartaglio;
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, James Leslie and sisters, Gloria Edlin and Donna Durbin.
