Carolyn Sue Hamilton, 71, of Lapeer, formerly of flint, passed away on August 1, 2022. Carolyn was born in Flint on October 14, 1950. She married the love of her life Richard “Jim” Hamilton on March 31, 1973.
After graduation from Lake Fenton High School, Carolyn went to work for many years for GM as a factory worker. She was a hard worker, always doing something with her hands. Carolyn loved to sew, from fixing just about any article of clothing to making homemade blankets (especially baby blankets) she took great pride in her work. She was an animal lover, most of all Elephants. The only thing she loved more than elephants was her family. Her daughter and grandchildren were her whole world and she showed them that every day.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter: Heidi (David) Lyons of Lapeer; granddaughter: Sophia; bonus grandchildren: Calli, Carlie, Rayleigh, Julia, Carter, Joey, Peyton, Jayden and Tayven; brother: David (Tina) Gean of Flint and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard “Jim” Hamilton, her sister Virginia and her aforementioned parents.
Visitation for Carolyn will be Friday August 5, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. A funeral service will immediately follow starting at 11:00 at Muir's. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.
