Darlene Marie Legge, 83, of Rose City, died Friday July 21, 2023. She was born June 7, 1940 in Lapeer to parents Carl and Viola (Sweeney) Wagner. Darlene married Norman J. Legge in Waterford.
Darlene had an administrative career at General Motors for many years, then she shined in customer service working for her son, Mike, at Orthotech Prosthetics & Orthotics in West Branch. She was a real people person, loved her patients. She always took pride in her appearance; professional and polished. At home, Darlene was an amazing cook and enjoyed her flower gardening. You could maybe find her on the golf course or farming; horses and black angus don’t take care of themselves. Above all else, Darlene loved her family, they were everything to her.
Mrs. Legge is survived by her children: Katherine (Jeffrey) Muzyk, Dan (Raquel) Bugg and Mike (sig. other, Kathy Sauvola) Bugg, grandchildren: Niki, Autumn, Krissy, Alicia, Marci, Amanda, Alyssa, Michael, Alec and Noelle, great-grandchildren: Katherine, Kane, Zoey, Ava, Hudson, Jackson, Stella, Boston, David, Anthony and Tenley, siblings: Bobby (Ottie) Wagner, Jeannie (Jack) Tunison, Donna Hill, Janet (Bill) Teed as well as her faithful dog: Missy. She was preceded in death by her son: Teddy Bugg, husband: Norman, sister: Margie Kinsey as well as her aforementioned parents.
Mrs. Legge’s visitation will be 4:00-8:00pm Monday at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. The family will receive friends from 10:00am – and the funeral service is at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Muir Brothers. Burial will follow the service, in Green Corners Cemetery, Hadley.
