Danny Lee White of Grand Blanc, MI passed away on February 7, 2020. He was born January 25, 1952 in Flint, MI to Mark (Keith) and Larraine (Older) White. He graduated from Bendle High School in 1970, with a full scholarship for basketball to Saginaw Valley College. While in college Danny was drafted into the Army and served during the Vietnam War. After discharge from the military, he continued his college education graduating from the University of MI-Ann Arbor. Danny was self-employed as a building contractor and master craftsmen in his field. He enjoyed playing golf and fishing with his friends and his time with his grandson, Kingsley.
He is survived by his partner of 16 years, Cindy Funsch, his daughters; Gina (Korey) Bryant of Grand Rapids; Dene’ White of Ashland, OR; his son, Devin White of Grand Rapids, grandson Kingsley; sisters Millie (Jerry) Jones, Keitha (Mike) James, Lorri Tigner, Maureen Holmes, Dara (Ken) Oakes and sister-in law Patty White. He leaves behind many nephews, nieces as well as grand nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his best friend, Tom Alward and his Bendle Bros. who brought him many years of laughter and joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dale.
A celebration of life will be held at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, MI on Tuesday, February 11th 2020 at 1:00 pm.
Visitation 2-5pm and 7-9pm Monday and 11am Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
A burial service will be held at a later date at the Great Lakes National Cemetery.
