Bowen, Christina “Chris” – of Montrose, age 68, passed away Monday, January 10, 2022, at her residence surrounded by family and loved ones. Funeral Services will be held at 12PM Monday, January 17, 2022, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. The family will receive visitors on Sunday from 2PM until 8PM, and on Monday from 11AM until the time of service. Burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hurley Children’s Hospital- Children’s Miracle Network.
Christina was born June 1, 1953, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Jerome and Ruth (Wilkinson) Chartrand. She graduated from Mt. Morris High School with the class of 1971. Christina married Michael Bowen November 7, 1970, they spent 52 wonderful years together. She helped run and manage Muffler Man alongside Mike for 52 years. Christina was all about racing and raising her children. She was a kind woman with a big heart. People would say she was a big giver and the most selfless person around. Above all she will be greatly missed by many.
Surviving are: Husband, Mike Bowen; Sons: Shawn (Nicole) Bowen, Scott (April) Bowen and Shannon (Rebecca) Bowen; Grandchildren: Austin, Dylan, Briana, Drew, Bret, Caitlin, Colin and Kelsey; Siblings: Rosemary Burns, Doug (Barb) Chartrand, Danny (Sheila) Chartrand, Darlene (Pat) Boggs and Bud Chartrand. She was preceded in passing by brothers: Tom Chartrand, Eugene Chartrand, and Steven Chartrand; Sisters: Louise Walker and Jackie Dekalita.
