O’CONNELL, Genevieve T. – of Apache Junction, Arizona, age 99 died Friday, January 19, 2018 at The Villa in Mesa Arizona. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 27, 2018 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run, Michigan. Rev. Fr. Thomas McNamara officiating. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Bay City, Michigan. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 11AM until time of service at 1PM.
She was born December 25, 1918 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Francis and Leocadia (Krzewinski) Murach. Gen and Dan owned and operated a neighborhood grocery for 38 years. Her husband Daniel A. O’Connell preceded her in death on February 19, 2007.
Surviving are: Children, David (Cheryl) O’Connell, Delores Jean (Robert) Shaw; Grandchildren, Rodney (Marta) O’Connell, April (Mike) Blankenship, Shelly Shaw, Deena (Mark) Sinclair; five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
