HARRIS, Jerry – of Lapeer, age 69, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023 at The Villages of Lapeer after a long battle with cancer. Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be considered to the charity of one’s choice, in Jerry’s memory.
Jerry was born in Flint, MI on February 18, 1954, son of Gilbert and Wanda (Tyler) Harris, the fifth of eight children. He graduated from Northwestern High School in 1972. Later hiring into A.C. Spark Plug. Jerry enjoyed many years of Hot Rods and Car Shows.
Jerry is survived by his daughter, Emily Harris; granddaughter, Sophia; mother, Wanda Harris; sisters, Gwendolyn (Gary) Gilbert and Janette (Kerry) Willis; brother, Larry Harris; foster son, Mike Trickel and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Elizabeth “Betsy” Harris; father, Gilbert Harris, brothers, Gary, Randall (Jim), Rick and Brian Harris. A special thank you to the entire Brians Family Restaurant staff, Jason Sawvel, Armondo Alvarado and Jessie Harris for going above and beyond to care for Jerry at such a difficult time.
