BARNES, CHARLOTTE LOUISE - Of Flint, age 92, died Thursday, December 14, 2023 at The Ridge in Goodrich.
Funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. Thursday, December 21, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 11 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Charlotte was born in Brighton, Michigan on September 22, 1931, the daughter of the late Howard and Mary (Puska) Ingersoll.
On June 12, 1953 she married Lawrence Barnes in Angola, Indiana and he preceded her in death on April 15, 2005.
Charlotte worked for AC Spark Plug Division for 37 ½ years and was a member of UAW Local #651.
She loved gardening, planting flowers, puzzles, word search puzzles, knitting and game shows.
She also loved to travel, especially going up north to East Jordan and also visiting in Texas.
Surviving are siblings, George (Gail) Ingersoll, Marie (Ray) Trevino,
David (Jenni) Ingersoll and
Carol Ingersoll-Kern;
many nieces and nephews;
stepsons, Lawrence Barnes, Steven Barnes and Dennis Weirs.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Ingersoll, Howard Ingersoll and William Ingersoll; sisters, Ethel Long and Margaret Clark.
