Ronald M. “Ron” Kesemeyer, age 70, of Flushing, Michigan, passed away on September 12, 2026, at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc, Michigan.
Ron was born on June 8, 1956, in Bay County, Michigan, the son of the late Donald and Esther (Kernstock) Kesemeyer. He lived in Bay County until early adulthood. After completing the College of Pharmacy program at Ferris State University, he moved to the Flint area and later made his home in Flushing.
Ron worked for more than 35 years as a retail pharmacist for Perry Drug Stores and Rite Aid Pharmacy before retiring in 2013. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Monitor Township, where he participated in the youth group, attended Bible class, and sang in the choir. Ron also enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, bowling, music, karaoke, and shooting darts. He especially loved Christmastime and the many dogs who brought him joy and companionship throughout the years.
On September 15, 2017, Ron married his longtime partner, Nathan E. Cressler, at their home surrounded by family and friends.
Ron faced tremendous health challenges during the final year of his life, fighting each one with incredible courage and determination while surrounded by those who loved him.
Besides his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Gary McCray; his nephew, Jeffrey McCray; and a stillborn brother and sister.
He is survived by his husband, Nathan Cressler of Flushing; his sister, Judith McCray of Saginaw; his niece, Briana (Matthew) Hauser; his nephew, Stephen (Scott) McCray; Kristopher McCray, Patrick McCray, David McCray, and Erika McCray, to whom he was an uncle; Ethan, Miriam, and James Hauser, to whom he was a loving great-uncle; and his beloved dog, Jax.
Visitation will be held at Reigle Funeral Home/Sunset Chapel in Flushing on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Visitation and viewing will continue at Peace Lutheran Church in Saginaw on Wednesday, September 23, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., with the Reverend Matthew Hauser officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Gardens Cemetery in Bay City.
